Gatton Magistrates Court
Gatton Magistrates Court is located at 7 William Street, Gatton. The Gatton Magistrates Court registry is located in the adjacent QGAP (Queensland Government Agent Program) building. The court is comprised of one courtroom and the current presiding magistrate is Magistrate Kay Ryan.
The Gatton Magistrates Court sits every Monday, every second Tuesday and occasionally on Wednesdays. It deals with summary criminal matters including traffic matters where the accused is an adult. Criminal matters where the accused is under 18 are dealt with by the Children’s Court, which generally sits on Mondays.
The court hears domestic violence applications every second Tuesday of the month. Hearings (local listings) are normally listed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. QCAT hearings and committal trials are normally transferred to the Ipswich Courts. Specific dates can be found on the Gatton Court Calendar.
The District Court and Supreme Court of Queensland do not sit at Gatton.
