The Melbourne Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCA) is located in the Owen Dixon Commonwealth Law Courts Building at the corner of Latrobe Street and William Street in the Melbourne CBD.  The FCFCA deals with family law, bankruptcy, migration, industrial law and other federal law matters.

The Owen Dixon Commonwealth Law Courts are directly above Flagstaff Train Station. Tram routes 48 and 96 pass by the court precinct as do numerous bus routes. There is also paid parking available behind Little Lonsdale Street.

The courts offer a Justice of the Peace service, which can be accessed at the registry. There are photocopiers available on levels 1 and 2, at a cost of 20c per page. If you are attending court for court-ordered mediation, childcare is available on level 5 while parents are in the mediation. Arrangements for this should be confirmed prior to the day by post or email.

If you have a matter in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, you should arrive early and come prepared to be at court for most of the day. You should dress neatly and conservatively and check which courtroom your matter is to be heard in. This can be done online or by checking the printed court lists in the foyer on the ground floor.
