Kelly Weston
Kelly is our Special Counsel and has obtained her Masters of Applied Law in Wills & Estates in 2020 and her Accredited Specialisation in Wills & Estates in New South Wales in 2021. She works exclusively in Wills and Estates, with a specific focus on estate litigation and specialises in matters involving will challenges and family provision claims. Her work often involves complex equitable principles such as promissory estoppel and constructive trusts. Kelly’s practice spans both New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory, applying her skills to secure favourable outcomes for her clients.
In addition to her litigation work, Kelly regularly acts in applications for grants of probate and letters of administration, guiding executors and administrators through the process to ensure efficient administration of estates. Her expertise also extends to contested probate matters, where she has both challenged and defended probate grants. In addition, Kelly has experience obtaining Judicial Advice to clarify will provisions. Notably, she has overseen a case that defined the legal interpretation of “vested in possession”.
Known for her high attention to detail and strong analytical skills, Kelly approaches each case with patience and empathy, making her a trusted advisor to her clients.
