Alison Brown - National Practice Director - Sydney
Alison holds a Bachelor of Laws and is also a registered Family Dispute Practitioner (mediator) and is passionate about providing the best family law solutions to her clients. Alison understands that there is time to mediate and a time to litigate. She has over 10 years’ experience as a family lawyer and has worked on an array of matters including complex parenting matters where there are significant issues of abuse, to high net worth clients, one case, in particular, the asset pool was valued at over $1 billion.
Alison prides herself on taking a sensible and pragmatic approach to dealing with issues relevant to her clients’ casees and believes that clear and open communication is the key to a positive lawyer/client relationship. Alison believes that achieving the best results for clients starts at a personal level, every client is unique.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Alison completed a diploma in youth work during which she developed skills to deal with people who are in crisis and experiencing high levels of stress. Alison is acutely aware of the stress caused by relationship breakdown and separation and trying to move forward with your life.
Alison is passionate about helping people and during her career as a lawyer has worked at the Attorney-General’s Department providing legal advice to client’s in crisis and currently volunteers at a legal centre assisting disadvantaged members of the community.
When Alison is not in the office she enjoys dining out, relaxing in a yoga class or hitting the gym, she has completed her Certificate IV in Personal Training.
