John Sutton
Biography
John Sutton is a senior lawyer whose 14 years’ experience in criminal law, includes five years as a NSW police prosecutor.
Prior to joining Armstrong Legal, John was employed inter-state conducting protracted prosecutions of corrupt police officers with a particular focus on drug squad detectives.
John has experience in the Local, District and Supreme Courts and is admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Victoria. He has also appeared in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal of NSW and the Guardianship Tribunal.
John also acted for a party in the FAI collapse, acted for the State of NSW for motor vehicle and property damage claims, completed an investigation for the NSW Treasurer for perceived police corruption and has extensive experience taking instructions from major insurers for dispute resolution and litigation matters.
